This node is shown when the Detailed Catalyst Model action has been executed in Chemistry node. Here, you can select the catalyst and species bound to the catalyst (Catalyst Complex). This feature helps to build systems with adsorption, desorption and surface reactions. This example illustrates the application of the Detailed Catalysis model in a heterogeneous catalytic reactor.

Catalyst
Top of Topic In this view you can select the catalyst among the compounds in the Project. One (and only one) of these compounds must be selected as Catalyst. Catalyst Complex The species bound to the catalyst, typically adsorbed surface species must be marked as Catalyst Complex. All catalyst complex species are modeled considering the steady-state assumption, where the net rates are set to zero. The free catalyst surface fraction is determined using the identity that the sum of surface site fractions should be 1. Actions Quick Run Open Solver Top of Topic
